South Georgia Tormenta FC News Release
STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC recorded its fourth clean sheet and earned a point tonight against North Carolina FC, playing to a 0-0 draw - the team's first draw of the 2021 USL League One season.
Tormenta FC kicked off the match searching for scoring opportunities and taking advantage of the height difference between the two teams. Defenders Joshua Phelps and Lars Eckenrode both nearly scored with headers on frame but were unable to meet their mark.

Tonight's Man of the Match, presented by Galactic Comics and Games, is midfielder Abuchi Obinwa, who stepped up to help facilitate the attack tonight while helping shut down NCFC's opportunities. Obinwa recorded a 90.5% passing accuracy and made one interception, block and tackle.
Tormenta FC now embarks on a tough road stretch, beginning with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Wednesday, July 14, followed by a meeting with Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday, July 17. The team then comes home on Saturday, July 24 to host the Richmond Kickers for Family Night, presented by Your Pie in Statesboro, Georgia.
