Tormenta FC, Richmond Kickers Match Rescheduled to July 28

STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC announced today its matchup against the Richmond Kickers has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 28. The match will kick off at 7 p.m. ET from Erk Russell Park in Statesboro, Georgia.

Fans wanting to attend matches in person should purchase 2020 tickets in advance to secure their seats as capacity will be limited due to government regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially scheduled for July 18, the match was postponed out of an abundance of caution following the results of a July 7 test, which produced an initial unconfirmed positive COVID-19 case for two individuals on Tormenta FC's 40-person covered list. The individuals involved have now been cleared by the team doctor and cleared through the USL League One and CDC return-to-play protocols.

Every game of the 2020 League One season will be available via ESPN+ domestically and YouTube internationally. Tormenta FC fans and followers across South Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina can also cheer on the team from one of the club's Watch Party Partner locations throughout the season.

Tormenta FC will open its 2020 USL League One season this Saturday, July 25, versus regional rival Chattanooga Red Wolves SC. While preparing to return to play, the club will continue to follow the guidance of the local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in regards to upcoming games at Erk Russell Park in Statesboro, Georgia.
