Tormenta FC Announces Open Trials Ahead of 2022

STATESBORO, Ga. - In preparation for the club's 2022 USL League One and USL League Two seasons, South Georgia Tormenta FC has announced details for its men's open trial on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Media is invited to attend as aspiring footballers try out in front of club technical staff at Tormenta FC Training Ground in Statesboro, Georgia, from 10 a.m. ET to 3:30 p.m. ET.

"Our job in the offseason is to build a team of characters that our club and community are proud to call their own," Head Coach Ian Cameron said. "This is the cornerstone to the club making playoffs and competing for championships. We want to be the most prepared and the most united team in the league."

Athletes who want to try out for Tormenta FC can register ahead online for $75 or register as a walk-up on Feb. 5 for $100. All participants will receive a Tormenta FC training shirt.

Tormenta FC has also collaborated with Georgia Storm FC in the NPSL to co-host an open trial in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, Jan. 8. Interested players can register HERE.

Additionally, Tormenta FC's USL W League team will host its inaugural open trial on Sunday, Dec. 12, at Tormenta FC Training Ground. The new squad will host additional trial opportunities on Saturday, Jan. 8, and Sunday, Feb. 6. Kicking off in 2022, Tormenta FC Women aims to identify and develop the next wave of elite female athletes in South Georgia and the Low Country of South Carolina. Interested players can register at TormentaFC.com/trials.

Tormenta FC will play its matches on Optim Health System Field at its new state-of-the-art stadium in Statesboro, which will also serve as the home to The USL W League team, the amateur USL League Two squad, and Georgia Southern University Men's and Women's NCAA Division I soccer teams.

Tormenta FC fans can now secure their seats at the new Tormenta Stadium opening in 2022. With numerous ticket options available like 2022 Season Memberships+ and Flex Plans, Tormenta FC has a ticket option for everyone.
