Charleston, WV (January 5, 2010) - The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Monday, January 4th that Tony Sanchez has been invited to major league Spring Training Camp. The Pirates have offered 16 non-roster Spring Training invitations, with thirteen of those spots going to pitchers.
Sanchez, originally from Miami, FL, joined the West Virginia Power for the second half of 2009. He finished the season with a.316 batting average, 7 home runs and 46 RBIs.
