
Tonight's second game postponed for Cubs

[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] Tonight's second game (July 26) between the Daytona Cubs (20-11) and the Clearwater Threshers (19-13) has been postponed due to threatening weather in the Daytona Beach area.
Tonight's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader TOMORROW (July 27) with the first game beginning at 6:05 p.m. and the second game taking place directly afterward. Both games being seven inning contests. This series marks the last match-up between the two teams in the 2006 season.
Mark Holliman (7-6) is expected to go for Daytona in game one tomorrow against Kyle Kendrick for the Threshers. In game two Ryan Bicondoa (0-0) will make his first start with Daytona against Carlos De La Cruz.
There was one game played tonight, it was a game that was ended due to a rain suspension in Clearwater last week. The game started up in the bottom of the third inning and the Threshers went on to defeat Daytona by a score of 8-3.
Both games tomorrow will be part of the Thirsty Thursday promotion where all drinks can be purchased for one dollar. Gates will open at 5:05 and for ticket information please call (386) 257-3172.
