Tonight's Game - What You Need to Know

May 19, 2012 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Jacksonville Sharks News Release

On Saturday night, the ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville Sharks take the field on their home turf for the first time since their come-from-behind victory over New Orleans on May 4. Tonight, the Sharks host the Central Division's Iowa Barnstormers on Military Appreciation Night. Coincidentally, the only previous meeting between these two franchises came on last year's Military Appreciation Night, a game that the Sharks won 79-27. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Military Appreciation Night

We have dedicated this game day to giving back to those who serve and have served our country. For military appreciation night, the Sharks offer several ways for fans to contribute to the Armed Forces Families Foundation. At SharkFest, special Military Night T-shirts will be available in exchange for a $2 donation, while the Attack Dance Team will be signing a Military Night Poster in exchange for a donation as well.

The event culminates in our postgame jersey auction, which gives fans the opportunity to win our players' camouflage jerseys directly off their backs. The auction will take place down on the field following tonight's game, and proceeds from the winning bids will be donated to AFFF.

Also, remember that Buy One, Get One Free tickets are still available for all military members (active or retired) and their families. Simply walk up to the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena box office with your valid military ID to take advantage of this offer. Note that there is a limit of four free tickets (eight total) per ID.
