
Road Woes Continue, Storm Fall 53-34

Tampa Bay Storm News Release
Cleveland, OH - The Tampa Bay Storm (5-5, 3-2) fell to the Cleveland Gladiators (6-3, 3-0) Saturday evening at the Quicken Loans Arena by a score of 53-34. The Storm scored on the final play of the game as Chandler Williams broke open a kickoff return and lateralled the ball to Amarri Jackson at the 22-yard line who ran the ball into the endzone.
Storm quarterback Stephen Wasil started the first half and was relieved by Matt Grothe in the second half. Wasil completed 13-of-26 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns; meanwhile Grothe finished 7-of-13 for 85 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on his first attempt. All three starting receivers for the Storm found the endzone with Prechae Rodriguez leading the way with two touchdowns, Amarri Jackson finished with seven catches for 56 yards and Chandler Williams caught six balls for 58 yards. Williams also added 101 yards on six kick returns.
Dominick Goodman paced the Gladiators leading all receivers with 10 receptions for 129 yards. He also accounted for two touchdowns, one via the air and another on the ground. John Dutton completed 22-of-41 passes for 254 yards and five touchdowns while spreading the ball to four receivers. Levy Brown came up with a big interception of Grothe on Tampa Bay's first possession in the second half.
The Tampa Bay Storm returns home to the Tampa Bay Times Forum Saturday, May 26 against the Milwaukee Mustangs on Military Night. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM.
