Tommy Adams joins Stampede

Boise, Idaho (January 6, 2005) – The Idaho Stampede has acquired guard Tommy Adams from the Great Lakes Storm, according to Head Coach Joe Wolf. In exchange, the Storm will receive Idaho's 2nd round draft position in next year's CBA college draft.

The Stampede leaves tomorrow for a three game road trip with games in Muskegon, Mich., Rockford, Ill., and Yakima, Wash. Adams is expected meet the team in Muskegon and be in the lineup on Saturday against the Michigan Mayhem.

Adams first played in Idaho on March 15, 2001, during the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Adams and the Hampton Pirates upset Iowa State 58-57 that day at the BSU Pavilion. Adams scored 6 points in the win. He scored 17 against the Stampede in Idaho's home opener this season at the Idaho Center.

Adams averaged 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game for the Storm this season. He had season-highs of 26 points and eight assists in a game against the Rockford Lightning in December.

The team returns to the Idaho Center on Wednesday, Jan. 12, for a battle with the Yakima SunKings.
