Toledo Walleye Announce Inaugural FinFest

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye are pleased to announce the very first Walleye FinFest at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo. The event will take place on Saturday, October 9th and will offer interactive activities for fans of all ages and feature the Toledo Walleye vs. Kalamazoo Wings in exhibition play. The Walleye and Wings will play an exhibition game at Kalamazoo on Friday, October 8 as well.

Toledo Walleye FinFest

When: Saturday, October 9th at the Huntington Center (Gates open at 2:00pm; Toledo Walleye vs. Kalamazoo Wings exhibition game starts at 6:00pm).

Walleye FinFest Ticket Information:

- Tickets for the Walleye FinFest will go on sale Saturday, July 10th at 11:00 am.

- Tickets will be available at the Huntington Center box office, by phone at (419) 725-WALL (9255) or online at www.toledowalleye.com/finfest

- Tickets are $10.00 each (kids 2 and under are free).

- This event will have assigned seating for the Toledo Walleye vs. Kalamazoo Wings exhibition game. Toledo Walleye season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase their seats.

Walleye FinFest Interactive Activities:

- Public Open Skate (2:00-3:00 pm)

- On-Ice experience - shoot on goal at the Huntington Center - no skates necessary (3:00pm-4:30pm)

- Unique arena photo opportunities

- Several Toledo Walleye players will be on hand during the On-Ice experience

- College Football in the Club Level Lounge

- Giveaway items on the main concourse

- Design-A-Sign

Toledo Walleye vs. Kalamazoo Wings Exhibition Game (6:00 pm):

- Team introductions before the game

- Highlight video from the inaugural 2009-10 Walleye season

- Post-Game Toledo Walleye team autograph session

The Toledo Walleye will begin the regular season on Friday, October 15 in Wheeling, WV versus the Wheeling Nailers. The home opener is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th versus Wheeling at 7:00 PM at the Huntington Center. Ticket packages are on sale now and group outings are being reserved. **The Toledo Walleye play all of their home games at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo. The Walleye are the proud ECHL affiliate of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings.
