Fans will want to schedule their vacation around the Mud Hens so they don't miss a second of the excitement happening at the ballpark. There are special theme nights, great giveaways, live entertainment, costume appearances, and chances to meet the players and coaches. IT'S TIME TO PLAY BALL !

Opening Day:

The crack of bat kicks off the season at 5 p.m. on April 11 when the Hens take on the Louisville Bats. Fans can start the party at the Opening Day Bash. Gates open at 3 p.m. Tickets to the bash include an all you can eat buffet, live music, drink specials, and club level seating. The first giveaway of the season - Mud Hens Magnet Schedule - goes to 7,000 fans. They can grab one when exiting after the game.

Theme Nights/Special Events & Appearances/Giveaways

Ready your costume and join the fun! The Mud Hens have another season of special themed nights to entertain you for the entire season! Many nights include videos, music, and on-field contests geared towards that theme. And who doesn't like FREE stuff!! This season fans have the chance to go home with a variety of fun giveaways-everything from posters and glow wands to bobble heads and toothbrushes!

April

- April 13 -- Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run - It's time for your child (age 7 -14 ) to show off their baseball abilities in an exciting baseball skills competition. It's free, but registration is a must. Go to www.mudhens.com for more information.

- April 14 -is the first Kids Run the Bases of the season. This popular event happens after every Sunday game.

May

- May 3 -Fifth Third Day-3,000 fans go home with a beautiful poster of Fifth Third Field presented by Fifth Third Bank.

- May 4 & May 5 -- Star Wars Weekend Celebration expands to TWO days

May the Fourth Be with You and Revenge of the Fifth. The weekend includes special appearances from the international Star Wars costuming organization, kazoo giveaway - for a Star Wars theme kazoo-a-long, face painting, costume parade, limited edition Chewbacca jerseys on May 5... AND fireworks on May 4.

- RECOGNITION NIGHTS- Throughout the season the Mud Hens different groups and organizations for their dedication and passion.

- May 15, 20, 21 -It's all about fun and learning during our SCHOOL CELEBRATION DAYS. Imagination Station teaches kids about science and baseball before and during the game. Kids go home with Mud Hens folders.

- FIREWORKS - What's a Mud Hens game without fireworks. Fans can enjoy fireworks postgame every Friday, Saturday and Sunday after May 17.

- May 17Â- - Pub 315 plays host to the first Beer Tasting Event of the season. Tickets to the beer tasting events will include an all you can eat buffet, beer samples from several craft beer vendors, and a souvenir giveaway. The other beer tasting dates are: June 6, July 5, and August 1

- BASEBALL CAMP Â-Â-- Your kids have the chance to learn from the pros. Four baseball camps are held each summer on the field with Mud Hens players and coaches helping kids learn the fundamentals of the game. For more information or to register your child, go to www.mudhens.com/camps .

o July 30, 31, August 1 - Three Day Baseball Camp 10am-1:30pm each day

- May 31 - SCOUT SLEEPOVER - Calling all troops to grab their tent and sleeping bag and experience Scout sleepover at the Mud Hens. There are six Boy Scout dates and two Girl Scout. For a complete list visit www.mudhens.com/scouts .

- June 1 - Country Concert Night- Grab your cowboy hat and boots and get ready to two-step. Gates open at 5:30 with country bands rocking out at several locations across the ballpark. June 1 will also feature the Mystery Ball Autograph Sale with proceeds benefitting the Miracle League of Northwest Ohio.

- CHARACTER APPEARANCES - Toledo Mud Hens fans will meet and greet many popular TV and movie characters this season starting with:

- June 21- You'll have fun, fun, fun, "˜cause the Mud Hens are celebrating the First Day of Summer. The first 2,000 fans receive a really cool pair of new summer sunglasses! Levis Commons will be on hand to present the First Day of Summer celebration, including live sand castle sculpting!

- MEET THE PLAYERS- Fans have multiple chances to meet the 2013 Mud Hens. Every Sunday two players sign autographs before the game next to the Swamp Shop.

o June 23 - Pictures with the Players Pregame Event

o July 28 - Team Autograph Pregame Event

- June 24 & July 29- Calling all youth camps, daycare centers, and senior groups- it's Summer Rec Day and Senior Fun Day at the Mud Hens. Game time is at noon.

July

- July 3 & 4- Celebrate the nation's birthday at the Mud Hens Freedom Feast: Baseball, Barbeque & Fireworks. The party is from 5:30 - 7pm. For more information call the ticket office.

- July 5- It's Welcome Back to the 90's Night at Fifth Third Field! Turn back the clock to the last decade of the 20th century! The event will feature throwback styles, fun food selections and more! The 90's baseball classic "The Sandlot" celebrates its 20-year anniversary. To commemorate the event Sandlot Director David Mickey Evans will make a special appearance at the game AND the Mud Hens will show a special screening following the postgame fireworks.

- July 6- IT'S MUDDY'S BIRTHDAY BASH!! and you're invited to the pregame party with Muddy and over twenty of his mascot pals. It's jam packed with fun for the entire family.

- July 6- The ever popular Create Your Own Hotdog Event is back! Fans have 25 different toppings to use to their hotdog masterpiece. This year the entire team is getting involved when they hit the field wearing limited edition Hot Dog Jerseys. Fans can bid on the jerseys during a silent auction during the game.

- July 26- Pink in the Park- - July 27 - The Toledo Mud Hens and American Family Insurance will conclude a three-part Jamie Farr Bobblehead series with the third and final Jamie Farr Bobblehead giveaway to the first 2,000 fans that enter on Saturday, July 27.

August

- August 2- 4 The Mud Hens honor its rich baseball history during Toledo Baseball History Weekend. On Friday, 2,000 fans get to take home a bobble head of one of the greatest athletes of the 20th Century- Jim Thorpe- who played for the Mud Hens in 1921. Then our team will go back in time, on Saturday, when they wear jerseys from the 1921. Fans have the chance to bid on one during a silent auction.

- August 10 - The Mud Hens are getting fans excited for T-Town Hockey at Toledo Walleye Hockey Night. Meet some of the current and former hockey players, along with coaches Nick Vitucci and Dan Watson.

- August 11 - It's Back to School Night and Muddy is helping kids get ready for it. 1,500 students will go home with a brand new Muddy bookmark, presented by Great Clips.

- August 31- It's the last game of the regular season and tonight is all about YOU! Fan Appreciation Night! So what do you give the Best Fans in the World-a FAN. The first 2,000 fans go home with a hand-held "fan" to help you stay cool during the warm summer game!!
