Smith joins previously announced Hall of Fame guests Fergie Jenkins (Wednesday, June 19), Rod Carew (Wednesday, July 24) and Gaylord Perry (Monday, July 29) at Frontier Field this season.

All single-game tickets for the 2013 season will go on-sale Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. Season tickets, mini plans, flex packs, and group tickets are on sale now. Smith amassed 478 career saves over his 18-year Major League career while playing with eight different teams. The seven-time All-Star held the Major League saves record for 14 years until Trevor Hoffman eclipsed his mark in 2006. Only Hoffman and Yankees' great Mariano Rivera have more saves than the Louisiana native. A second round pick by the Cubs in 1975, Smith posted a sub-three ERA and a club-record 180 saves over eight years in Chicago (1980-87). After a couple years in Boston, the hard-throwing right-hander was dealt to St. Louis in 1990 for 2012 Red Wings hitting coach Tom Brunansky. Smith put up back-to-back dominant seasons in 1991 and '92 with the Cardinals leading the National League in saves and finishing in the top five in Cy Young voting both seasons.
