Tulsa Oilers News Release

Former Tulsa Oilers team captain, and fan favorite, Todd Marcellus will be back in Tulsa to play in the Oilers second annual American Airlines alumni game on Saturday August 29th at 7 p.m. at the Oilers Ice Center (located at 64th and Mingo). Marcellus didn't miss a game for the Oilers between the 2002-03 season and his final season of 2004-05. In 128 games, he scored 97 goals and had 134 assists for 231 points. "We made a lot of great friends and have great memories of Tulsa," Marcellus said. "Everyone there treated us great, and it's going to be great to see so many people again."

Marcellus is just one of several crowd pleasing former Oiler players expected to play in the American Airlines alumni game. Oilers general manager Taylor Hall (who will also play in the game) says other popular ex-Oilers such as Tom Karalis, Sly Naud, Daniel Villeneuve, Troy Caley, Craig Hamelin, David Rattray, Curtis Voth and others will be on hand as well.

Tickets for this year's American Airlines alumni game are $10 in advance for Oilers season ticket holders, $20 for non-season ticket holders. All tickets at the door will be $20. The admission will include the postgame party with the players. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Oilers, and Hall encourages fans to get their tickets early. Season tickets for the Oilers 2009-10 season in the BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
