Last Game Recap

The Tobs (1-2) were held scoreless Thursday against the Pilots. Peninsula (2-0) scored in the fourth, fifth and seventh through ninth innings. The Tobs lost, 6-0. Casey Williams started on the mound and threw six innings, tallied six hits and gave up two runs. Williams received the lost last night on the mound.

Watch Out!

Dawnoven Smith went 3-of-4 last night tallying a base hit in left, center and right field.

Scouting Peninsula

The Pilots are 2-0 on the season, gaining both wins against the Tobs at Historic Fleming Stadium. During the first outing against the Tobs on May 30, the game went to 11 innings and the Pilots won 7-6. Drake McNamara went 3-of-4 last night with one run scored, an RBI and a walk.

Next Home Game

The Tobs will come home on Saturday, June 3rd to play an exhibition match against North Wake Fungo at 7 p.m.. Saturday at the park, it will be the 6th Annual Beer & BBQ Festival. There will be all you can eat BBQ samples and there will be craft beer vendors set up with samples. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m..

The Wilson Tobs enter their 21 st season as an original member within the Coastal Plain League for the 2017 Summer. The upcoming season for the Tobs will see an expanded community outreach effort, increased participation in helping the less fortunate and more exciting entertainment for the Wilson Community. We would like to dedicate each successful season to the Wilson Community, Coastal Plain League Organization, Host Families, Sponsors Partners and the Dedicated Fans throughout the city of Wilson. The Wilson Tobs have played host to over 100 alumni taken in the draft and have produced a dozen players who have gone on to play in the MLB, including Cy Young & MVP winner Justin Verlander.
