
Titans Trade for Kindle, Get Deschenes

TRENTON, NJ (January 22, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today they have acquired defenseman Tyler Kindle from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for rookie forward Peter Fregoe.
Kindle â 6'0", 180 lbs â a rookie out of Wayne State University had appeared in 36 games for the Ice Pilots this season, recording 13 points (7g, 6a) and 28 penalty minutes. Kindle will wear #15 and will be available for this weekend's games.
Fregoe, a native of Massena, NY, came to the Titans this season after a successful four-year career at Providence College where he played alongside current Titan forward Devin Rask. Fregoe tallied 8 goals and 6 assists in 32 games played for the Titans.
In a separate move, the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League have assigned forward Nick Deschenes to the Titans. Deschenes skated with the Titans earlier this season, going scoreless in two games. The first-year pro out of Yale has 4 goals and an assist in 22 games with Phantoms this year. Deschenes will wear #16 and will be in the line-up for both contests this weekend.
The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL â America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Trenton Titans play at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ. The Titans begin a five-game homestand starting Friday, January 23 at 7:30pm against the Wheeling Nailers. The Titans then host the Roanoke Express on Saturday, January 25, at 7:00pm.
