New Jersey Titans News Release
The New Jersey Titans have traded Christian Bardarson to the Lone Star Brahmas in exchange for defenseman Ben Pirko.
Pirko is a 19-year-old defenseman from Arlington, VA. In his first five games with the Brahmas, he has one goal and a plus-minus rating of 2. Titans head coach Craig Doremus spoke about the 6'3" blue liner, who is also committed to Union College.
"We are excited to add Ben to our blue line. He brings a veteran presence to our group," he said. "Any time you move a quality player and person like Christian (Bardarson) it's not easy, and we wish nothing but the best for him in Texas. We look forward to Ben being a big part of our club moving forward and are eager to get to work with him this week."
This won't be the first time Pirko will be playing hockey in Garden State. Last season he played with the New Jersey Hitmen of the NCDC and amassed 19 points (5 goals, 14 assists) in 38 games.
We would like to wish Christian the best of luck in Lone Star and welcome Ben to the Titans organization.
