Titans Resume East Division Games with Series in Jamestown

After four contests against non-divisional teams last week at the annual NAHL Showcase, the Titans will resume their intradivision East Division games this weekend as the Red Buckets visit Jamestown to take on the Rebels at the Northwest Arena beginning tonight at 7:00 PM while Saturday's game starts at the same time.

The last time these teams met was back on March 7, 2020, one game before the league suspended the season due to COVID-19. The Titans won that game 2 - 1 when alum Shane Haviland and current Titan Jake LaRusso hit the back of the net while goaltender Ryan McInchak turned aside 26 of 27 shots. The Titans won five of eight games against Jamestown that shorten season.

During COVID last year, the Rebels were dormant for the season.

The Rebels, originally known as the Aston and Philadelphia Rebels for three years, were one of the original four teams in the East Division. These teams have played each other twice in the playoffs. The then Aston Rebels won the East Division Finals in five games during the 2016-17 campaign, and then the Titans rallied from an 0 - 2 deficit in the East Division semi-finals to win that series 3 - 2 in five games to advance to the East Division Finals back in 2018-19 season.

Rebels Overview

The Rebels are currently in second place in the East Division with a 3 - 1 record with six points. They won three out of four games at last week's showcase, and they are coming off of a 3 - 2 win over the Odessa Jackalopes. They have won three straight games after losing their opening game of the year.

Jamestown has scored 12 goals (thirteenth in the league) in four games, while they have allowed 13 (fifteenth in the league). They are eighth in the league on the powerplay going 2 for 6 (33%) with the man advantage and allowing zero shorthanded goals. They are last in the league shorthanded as they have allowed one goal in five chances (44%).

Emerick Nadeau leads the Rebels with six total points (4 goals and 2 assists) and goals (four). Owen West has scored two of Jamestown's game winning goals. Nathan Jurrens has a team high eight penalty minutes while Owens has a team best +5.

Rebels netminders have a combined 3.25 goals against average and .890 save percentage.

Titans Overview

The Red Buckets are currently in sixth place in the East Division with a 2 - 4 record with four points. Last week, the Titans went 1 - 3 in the league showcase, and they are coming off of a 5 - 2 defeat to the Wichita Falls Warriors. They have lost two games in a row.

The Titans have scored 14 goals (eleventh in the league), while they have allowed 24 (tied for most in the league). New Jersey is 4 for 28 (14.3%) on the powerplay (20th in the league), and they have allowed two shorthanded goals. They are eighteenth in the league shorthanded (1 for 7 - 74.1%).

Brandon Avezov leads the Titans with six total points (5 goals and 1 assist) and goals (five). Blake Farrell leads the team with 27 penalty minutes, and Avezov has a team high +4.

New Jersey's netminders have a combined 3.96 goals against average and .860 goals against average.
