
Titans Make the Most of 6 Hits in 9-4 Victory over Brockton

Both the Torrington Titans (2-1) and the Brockton Rox (0-2) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Torrington Titans that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 9-4 win at Fuessenich Park.
Mikey Arman racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the eighth inning.
Jack Lambrecht got on base three times in the game for the Brockton Rox. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and ninth innings.
Mike Schettino recorded his first win of the year for the Torrington Titans. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Schettino struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits.
Bryce Verplank ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
