The Torrington Titans (17-19) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (14-21) 11-3 on Sunday thanks to a five-run ninth inning.
The Torrington Titans scored in the ninth on , a double by Mike Conti, an RBI single by Tyler Bindi, a double by Joel Roman, a groundout by Tim Budd, and a single by Milo Sklar.
Dean Lockery reached base five times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the seventh innings and singled in the first, fifth, and ninth innings.
John Russell brought the heat against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs during his outing. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just two hits off of Russell, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his seven innings of work.
Alex Lefevre got on base three times in the game for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.
