Titans Add Lewandowski

TRENTON, NJ (July 29, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today that they have agreed to terms with left wing Phil Lewandowski for the 2004-05 season. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lewandowksi, 25, finished the 2003-04 season with the Cincinnati Cyclones after being acquired from the Gwinnett Gladiators on March 1 in exchange for Tyler Deis and Shawn Weiman. With the Cyclones, Lewandowski averaged just over a point a game, tallying 7 goals and 7 assists in 13 games. The Naperville, Illinois native recorded 23 points (12g, 11a) and 66 penalty minutes during 44 games with the Gladiators.

"Phil's a solid second-year player that put up good numbers during his rookie season," said Mike Haviland, Titans' Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. "I think Titans fans are going to be excited with his speed and offensive capabilities."

Lewandowski - 5'10", 190 lbs - played his college hockey at Ferris State University, where he scored 40 goals, 46 assists and 252 penalty minutes over 144 games during his four-year career.
