
Inferno announce revised 2004-05 schedule

Columbia, SC (July 28, 2004) â The Columbia Inferno announce the revision to their 2004-05 schedule. The ECHL Board of Governors necessitated the revision following the termination of memberships in Greensboro and Roanoke.
The Inferno will begin their fourth season with their home opener on Friday, October 22nd at 7:30pm as they face-off against their in-state rival, the South Carolina Stingrays. The schedule favors the Inferno against their Palmetto State rivals as 30 games will be against Greenville (10), Pee Dee (10) and South Carolina (10). Columbia will be competing in the American Conference East along with Augusta, Charlotte, Greenville, Pee Dee and South Carolina.
A new face in the Carolina Coliseum will be the Texas Wildcatters, when the Inferno plays back-to-back games on March 11th and 12th. This is the second season for the Wildcatters. Columbia will take an six-day road trip out to the mid-west in February, as they will face the Mississippi Sea Wolves, Pensacola Ice Pilots and the Louisiana Ice Gators.
Columbia plays two pre-season games in preparation for the regular season. The Inferno will host the Pee Dee Pride on Friday, October 15th at 7:30pm and travel to play the South Carolina Stingrays on Sunday, October 17th at 3:00pm.
