Time Running out to Reserve Game-Worn Komen Jerseys
February 5, 2009 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Prescott, AZ 2/5/09 - When the Amarillo Gorillas host the Arizona Sundogs at the Amarillo Civic Center next Saturday, the team will be fighting for an even greater cause than the âw' in the standings.
The Gorillas will go "Pink in the Rink" on February 14, wearing special pink-trimmed jerseys as they take the ice against their divisional rival. Proceeds from jersey sales will go to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation.
Rather than auctioning off the sweaters, the Gorillas are pre-selling all game-worn jerseys for just $600. Fans can call the Amarillo Sports Central office at (806) 242-7825 or drop by at 901 S. Buchanan to reserve their favorite player's game-worn jersey from the contest.
However, as of Thursday, February 5, only four player's jerseys remained for reservation. A small amount of replica Komen jerseys are also available for $300-proceeds from replica jersey sales also go to benefit the foundation for breast cancer research and awareness.
Tickets for the February 14 game are still available, and can be purchased by contacting the Gorillas' box office at (806) 242-PUCK (7825).
