Tim Hudson Scheduled to Make Rehab Start Friday with San Jose Giants

San Jose, CA- The World Champion San Francisco Giants have announced that right-handed pitcher Tim Hudson is scheduled to start the San Jose Giants game on Friday, August 14 at Municipal Stadium as part of a rehabilitation assignment. The 7:00 PM game will be the 9th Annual A Giant Luau, presented by Kilohana Outrigger Canoe Club and LaFrance Foundation. The evening will feature hula dancers, decorated vendor booths, Hawaiian food from Hukilau Restaurant and a traditional pig roasting in Turkey Mike's BBQ. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a festive lei. Tickets can be purchased online at sjgiants.com, at the Municipal Stadium box office, or by calling (408) 297-1435.
Hudson boasts a 3.50 career ERA and was a member of the San Francisco Giants 2014 World Championship team after joining the organization as a free agent prior to the season. In total, Hudson made 21 starts for the Giants last year and helped propel them to their third World Series title in five years. Hudson is recovering from a right shoulder strain he suffered earlier in 2015.
Friday's 7:00 PM contest will be the opener of a three game set between the San Jose Giants and Lancaster JetHawks and San Francisco Giants catcher Andrew Susac is also scheduled to continue his rehabilitation assignment. Saturday's game will be the Eighth Annual Italian Night at Municipal Stadium. Head out to the ballpark and experience the unique ballpark atmosphere and bid on unique Italian jerseys. The first 1,000 fans will receive an Italian hat, courtesy of Country Club Villa Apartments and Battaglia Ranch Tree Farm. The homestand concludes on Sunday with a San Jose Giants T-Shirt Giveaway to the first 2,000 fans, presented by Martinelli's, and Gigante's Birthday.
