Tim Erixon Recalled by Columbus Blue Jackets

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Sunday that defenseman Tim Erixon has been recalled by the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team's NHL affiliate.

Erixon has appeared in two games with the Blue Jackets this season, recording one blocked shot, one hit, one shot and a +2 rating in 28:41 of action. In 51 career NHL games between Columbus and the new York Rangers, the former first-round draft pick has totaled seven assists, 24 penalty minutes and a +4 rating.

In 27 games with the Falcons this season, Erixon leads the team with 20 assists and ranks second on the club with 24 points. In 118 career AHL games between the Falcons and Connecticut Whale, he has tallied 86 points (12 goals, 74 assists), 90 penalty minutes and a +18 rating. Erixon was one of three Falcons named an AHL All-Star in 2013.

The Falcons are back in action Tuesday, February 4 to host the Albany Devils at the MassMutual Center at 7:00 p.m.
