June 20, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - Nashville is Music City and Nashville Soccer Club will continue to showcase the up-and-coming musical talent this city has to offer with its U.S. National Anthem singers. On Saturday, Nashville SC will welcome back Tigirlily to sing both the U.S. and Canadian National Anthems prior to Nashville SC taking on Ottawa Fury FC. It will be the female duo's third time singing the Anthem for a Nashville SC match.
Tigirlily is comprised of Kendra and Krista, sisters originally from North Dakota. The pair now lives in Nashville as recording artists, combining and blending their distinctive voices to give Tigirlily its unique sound. The sisters started their career singing in church and now share the stage with national acts, growing a fan base via YouTube with over 5.6 million views.
The duo has opened up for musical talents such as LeAnn Rimes, Big and Rich, Justin Moore, Chris Janson, and many more to now headlining their own Nashville produced, high energy shows with their band. Their latest EP "Wild Creatures" which debuted on June 5th, 2017, charted at #14 on the iTunes Country Charts and at #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
Tigirlily performed the Anthem at one of Nashville SC's most memorable matches, Nashville's thrilling 1-0 win over North Carolina FC last season when Ropapa Mensah scored a last-second goal to win the match. While Tigirlily didn't grow up as soccer fans, Kendra and Krista have enjoyed the atmosphere with Nashville SC.
"Sadly, we didn't have soccer growing up in ND so it wasn't a huge part of our childhood," said Tigirlily. "But we've loved getting to learn the game through Nashville SC!"
Tickets to Saturday's match are still available for as low as $15, or $11 with a Puckett's Flex Plan, and can be purchased here.
Tigirlily is available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify or other online platforms, and all upcoming shows are listed on Tigirlily.com.
