Bradenton, Fla.--- The Marauders (28-18, 63-48) and the Lakeland Flying Tigers (30-16, 56-55) for game four of a six-game series at LECOM Park on a cool and breezy night in the Friendly City. Lakeland captured an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 9-0 victory.
Marauders starter Hunter Barco gave up three earned runs off of four hits and a walk in his two-thirds of an inning pitch on the night. The left-hander was handed his second loss of the year and holds an 0-2 record.
Lakeland splashed out three runs in the top of the first inning, with Jim Jarvis, Max Anderson, and Jose De La Cruz all collecting RBI singles.
The Tigers added three more runs in the fourth to double their lead to 6-0 with no sign of the onslaught stopping.
The visitors pushed across a lone tally in the fifth and grabbed two more in the sixth, boasting a commanding 9-0 lead entering the final three innings.
Bradenton's offense was strangled all night long and was held to just two hits, both coming in the second inning. The Marauders best scoring chance came in the second with two on and two out, but they could not convert.
Lakeland breezed through the final few innings on the way to an emphatic 9-0 triumph.
Game five is set for 6:30 on Saturday on Country and Agriculture at LECOM Park. Wilber Dotel is expected to start for Bradenton.
