JUPITER, FL- The Lakeland Tigers gave Hammerheads starter Paul Mildren (7-2) his second loss of the season, as they held on for a 4-3 win over Jupiter. Lakeland now leads the series 2-1 with one game left to play.

Lakeland jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first on a three-run homer from Kelly Hunt. They led 4-0 going into the bottom of the 4th, when the Hammerheads cut the deficit in half on a 2 RBI single from Kevin Randel. The Hammerheads would add one more on a solo homer from Lee Mitchell to lead off the 8th. They would strand the tying run at first in the bottom of the 9th, giving Lakeland closer Chris Homer his 19th save of the year.

Mildren pitched 5 innings, and allowed 4 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits. He also walked 4 and struck out 2. Lakeland starter Jermy Rodriguez pitched 3-plus innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. Ian Ostlund (4-3) took over for the Tigers in the 4th inning, and pitched the next 3.1 innings, earning the win while allowing 1 run on 3 hits.

The Hammerheads and Tigers wrap up their four game series on Monday night at 7:05 p.m. Allen Baxter (0-0) will be on the hill for Jupiter, opposed by Luke French (1-1) for Lakeland.
