JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks and the Arena Football League announced Tuesday that Jacksonville wide receiver Tiger Jones has been selected as the winner of the AFL's Cutters Catch of the Week award for Week 4. The League is honoring Jones for his remarkable over-the-wall catch in the second quarter of Jacksonville's game against the San Jose SaberCats last Friday night.

Late in the second quarter of Friday's game, the Jacksonville offense had first-and-10 from its own 18-yard line. Quarterback Tommy Grady dropped back to pass, stepped up in the pocket and threw deep down the left sideline. Rapidly approaching the wall, Jones jumped into the air, extended himself to make the catch and fell directly into the first row of seats. While multiple San Jose defenders protested, Jones popped up with the football in hand, confirming what was a remarkable 30-yard reception.

The award-winning catch was part of another strong game for Jones, who totaled seven receptions for 109 yards in Friday's contest. It was Jones' fourth 100-yard performance in as many weeks, as Jones has caught at least seven passes in every game and is tied for the team lead with 10 touchdown receptions to this point in the season.

Nearly a quarter of the way into the 2015 campaign, Jones currently leads all AFL players with 605 receiving yards, ranks third in the League with 40 receptions and is tied for third with those 10 touchdown catches.

This is Jones' second League award in as many weeks, as he was named the Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3. Jacksonville has now won three weekly awards in 2015, as fellow wide receiver Joe Hills earned J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the Week honors for Week 1.
