
Hippeard Named Offensive Player of Week 4

ORLANDO - April 21, 2015 - Orlando Predators quarterback Randy Hippeard has been named the Arena Football League's Russell Athletic Offensive Player of Week 4, the League office announced today.
Hippeard (6-3, 205, Virginia-Wise) put forth a performance on Saturday evening that ranks amongst the most efficient in AFL history. The third-year signal caller threw for 339 yards and six touchdowns while connecting on 26-of-29 pass attempts for an astounding completion rate of 89.7 percent. Hippeard directed the offense on nine consecutive scoring drives while leading the Predators to a 61-48 victory over the LA KISS in Week 4.
Hippeard is currently the Arena Football League's most accurate passer, hitting on 72.6 percent of his attempts through four games. In total, he has completed 82-of-113 throws for 1,022 yards with 19 touchdowns and just one interception. He currently ranks first in the AFL with a passer efficiency rating of 136.1.
Hippeard is also among three candidates nominated for the Arena Football League's MVP of the Week award. The MVP of the Week is selected by the fans, who will have 24 hours to vote on ArenaFootball.com beginning at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 22. The winner will be announced on Thursday, April 23. Hippeard will compete against Arizona Rattlers quarterback Nick Davila and Philadelphia Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh for this week's honor.
