
Tiger-Cats Sign Seven International Free Agents

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Friday that the football club has signed seven international free agents, including defensive linemen Lynden Trail and Roman Braglio, defensive backs Dwayne Thomas, John Green and Jaleel Wadood, wide receiver Rashad Lawrence, and offensive lineman Avery Jordan.
Trail, 27, was with the National Football League's Washington Redskins from 2015 to 2017 and played two games during the 2016 season, recording two total tackles and one pass knock down. The 6-7, 277-pound defensive lineman also spent time with the NFL's Los Angeles Rams (2016) and Houston Texans (2015). Before turning pro, the Miami, Florida native appeared in 35 games as an outside linebacker with Norfolk State University from 2012 to 2014, making 27 starts and recording 255 total tackles, 41 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, 18 pass knock downs, eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and four blocks for the Spartans.
Braglio, 24, attended the NFL's Baltimore Ravens mini-camp in 2017. Prior to turning pro, the 6-2, 262-pound defensive lineman appeared in 47 games at the University of Maryland from 2013 to 2016. The Owings Mills, Maryland native made 25 starts and registered 96 total tackles, 10.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble during his collegiate career with the Terrapins.
Thomas, 24, spent time with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots in 2017. Before turning pro, the 6-0, 201-pound defensive back played 41 games at Louisiana State University from 2012 to 2016. The New Orleans, Louisiana native started 12 games and recorded 110 total tackles, 5.5 sacks and two interceptions during his five-year collegiate career with the Tigers.
Green, 24, spent time with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans in 2017. Prior to turning pro, the 5-10, 190-pound defensive back played at the University of Connecticut from 2013 to 2016, where he was a wide receiver as a freshman before converting to cornerback for his last three seasons. The Miami, Florida native played 35 games as a cornerback with the Huskies, registering 48 total tackles and 13 passes defended.
Wadood played 48 games at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2014 to 2017. The 5-10, 175-pound defensive back registered 286 total tackles, 15 passes defended, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one sack during his collegiate career with the Bruins. In his senior year at UCLA, the Los Angeles, California native was named to the All-Pac-12 Conference Second Team.
Lawrence, 25, appeared in 13 NFL preseason games over four seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2017), New Orleans Saints (2017), Jaguars (2016), Chicago Bears (2014) and Redskins (2014). Prior to turning pro, the 6-2, 190-pound wide receiver appeared in 51 games with Northwestern University from 2010 to 2013. Over his four collegiate seasons, the Orlando, Florida native registered 96 receptions for 1,165 yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan, 23, played 23 games at the University of New Mexico from 2016 to 2017. The 6-5, 265-pound offensive lineman made 18 starts during his two seasons with the Lobos. The Houston, Texas native played his first two collegiate seasons at Blinn Community College, where he was named Second-Team All-Conference as a sophomore.
