
Tiger-Cats Ink QB Powell, Make Roster Cuts

Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Wednesday, the football club has signed American quarterback Taylor Powell.
Powell most recently played nine games in his lone season at Eastern Michigan University (2022), completing 174 of 269 pass attempts (64.6%) for 2,111 yards with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The 6-2, 207-pound native of Fayetteville, Arkansas played six games in his only season at Troy University (2021), completing 125 of 189 pass attempts (66.1%) with seven touchdowns and six interceptions. Powell began his collegiate career at the University of Missouri, where suited up in 15 games over three seasons (2017-19), completing 35 of 76 pass attempts (46%), with one touchdown and two interceptions.
