Tickets Still Available to See Mark Prior Pitch for the Diamond Jaxx Tonight, June 8

Tickets are still available for tonight's (June 8th) West Tenn Diamond Jaxx game in which Chicago Cubs RHP and Major League All-Star Mark Prior will make a rehab start at Pringles Park. Prior will be pitching against the Birmingham Barons, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, who will counter with right-hander Lance Broadway (4-3, 2.52). The first pitch tonight will be at 7:05 CDT.

Prior was the second overall player selected in the June 2001 draft and he began his professional career with the Diamond Jaxx. In six starts with West Tenn, Prior compiled a 4-1 record with a 2.60 ERA and was named the Southern League Pitcher of the Week twice before being promoted to Triple-A Iowa. The University of Southern California graduate went on to make nineteen starts with the Cubs in 2002, going 6-6 with a 3.32 ERA. Prior's major league career record is 41-23 with a 3.24 ERA.
