Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
Hamilton, Ontario â The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed wide receiver Steve Suter and linebacker Jason Jacobs to two-year (plus an option) contracts.
Suter will wear the Black and Gold after playing the past four seasons for the University of Maryland. The 5-9, 186-pound receiver made 69 receptions for 1,044 yards and three touchdowns. Suter thrived on special teams, becoming the ACC's career punt return leader by running back 121 punts for 1,269 yards and six touchdowns. Suter also returned 52 kickoffs for 1,259 yards.
Jacobs, a 6-2, 219-pound linebacker joins the Ticats after a four-year NCAA career split between Northern Arizona (2003-2002) and Oregon State (2001-2000). Jacobs recorded 79 tackles, four interceptions and one sack in 39 career NCAA games.
