
Ticats Ink Dave Stala to New Deal

Hamilton - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that veteran Canadian receiver Dave Stala has signed a new contract that will keep him in black and gold through 2014.
Stala enters his fifth season in Hamilton in 2013 after spending the first six years of his career with the Montreal Alouettes. In 130 regular season games, the Saint Mary's product has caught 398 passes for 5,044 yards and 27 touchdowns. He is one of nine current CFL players that have registered over 5,000 receiving yards in their career.
Last season, the Hamilton native recorded 42 receptions for 655 yards and four touchdowns.
Stala was named the Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Canadian in 2010 and 2011, earning the East Division's Most Outstanding Canadian award in 2010.
'Sticky' has been one of the team's most active players in the community throughout his time in Hamilton, with his Stala's Stars program bringing over 300 kids from the East Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club to Ticats home games each season.
