During his senior year he earn first-team All-Big 12 Conference honors after posting 80 tackles and 8.5 sacks. As a junior, he picked up Big 12 Defensive Newcomer-of-the-Year honors as well as second-team all-conference accolades.

Marshall, a 6-2, 250 pound four-year NFL veteran with the Green Bay Packers, joins the Ticats after playing the past season with the AFL's Austin Wranglers. In the 51 NFL games he played in for the Packers, he recorded 60 tackles, one sack and two fumble recoveries. During his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma he totaled 202 tackles including 138 solo. As a senior, he was named MVP of the 2001 Orange Bowl and MVP of the 2001 Senior Bowl. He helped lead the Sooners to a national championship in 2000, serving as a team captain.

"Mario and Torrance bring a great deal of ability and experience to our team," said Ticats GM Rob Katz. "Both will come in and compete hard and have an opportunity to be impact players here in Hamilton."
