
ThunderDog Unveils Brand New Kids Zone

Wichita, KS (January 30th) - The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League, powered by Toyota, is excited to announce that ThunderDog is unveiling a new Kids Zone tomorrow night during the team's game against heated-rival Allen. The Kids Zone will add to the overall atmosphere of coming to a game at INTRUST Bank Arena and enhance the environment for the younger fans.
The Kid Zone will be on the concourse behind section 108 and will be for children 12 and under. There will be hockey nets set up for kids to practice their shooting skills, coloring table with posters, balloons from Pax, visit from Thunder players during 1st intermission, appearances from ThunderDog throughout the game, and an inflatable pirate ship, courtesy of Big Sky Party Rentals. Kids will also have the chance to win entry into ThunderDog's Kid's Club and other awesome give-a-ways.
"We are excited to give our fans another form of entertainment when they come to the arena," commented Mark Bengtson, Director of Game Operations. "Our goal is to provide an exciting and fun evening for the fans and having a place for kids to play will help with that aspect."
Wichita starts a home-and-home series against the Allen Americans starting tomorrow night at INTRUST Bank Arena at 7:05 p.m. The Thunder then travel to Allen the next night to take on the Americans at the Allen Event Center.
