
ThunderBolts Team Up With the Kiwanis

LAKELAND- The ThunderBolts Dance Team is teaming up with the Kiwanis for the Kiwanis Golf Tournament to benefit the Sunrise Community of Polk County. The ThunderBolts Dance Team, sponsored by Lifestyle Family Fitness, will be on hand to help deliver the complimentary beverages to the golfers. Also scheduled to make an appearance is the ThunderBolts Mascot, Thor. Thor will be there to wish the golfers luck as they tee off. Once the tournament is over he will be at the awards dinner to congratulate all the winners. The golf tournament will take place on Friday, April 28 at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course.
The Kiwanis was founded in 1915 in Detroit and is a thriving organization of service and community minded individuals who support children and adults around the world. All the proceeds made from the golf tournament will go to benefit the Sunrise Community of Polk County, Inc. The Sunrise Community of Polk County, Inc house and train people with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and autism.
There are six group homes here in Polk County that are modified to meet the needs of the residents with mobility impairments and physical challenges. They also have a Technology and Education Center (T.E.C) that trains people with severe physical limitations to use computers, assistive technology and adaptive tools to gain skills for independence.
The ThunderBolts are at home again April 29 vs. Fayetteville Guard. Kick off is at 7pm at the Lakeland Center. Season Tickets and Mini Flex Plans are still available for the ThunderBolts second season of professional indoor football.
