
Despite Loss - Bulldogs Still Have a Leader

DAYTON, OH- As of April 25, Bulldogs' Receiver Anthony Tyus leads the NIFL in two statistical categories: average receptions per game and average receiving yards per game.
Tyus averages 8.00 receptions per game with a total of 32 receptions in four games. His 376 receiving yards give him an average of 94.0 receiving yards per game.
In all purpose yardage, Tyus is second in the league. His all-purpose yardage averages to 146.2 yards. The increase comes from 191 yards on kick returns and 18 rushing yards.
On scoring and scoring touchdowns, Tyus is ranked number ten.

DAYTON LOSES TO RAPID CITY
DAYTON, OH-Sunday's home game resulted in a 66-38 loss for the Dayton Bulldogs, leaving the Rapid City Flying Aces undefeated.
After the Flying Aces started the scoring with a rushing touchdown, Bulldogs' Kicker Jeff Morningstar tied the game with two 30+ yard field goals in the first quarter.
During the second quarter Quarterback Antonio Davis threw two interceptions, which helped the Flying Aces extend their lead to 26-6. Right before the end of the quarter, Running Back Maurice Douse had a kick-off return of 45 yards to the Rapid City 5-yard line. Unfortunately, the clock expired during the run, and the Bulldogs couldn't get in another play.
Davis had an eight yard rushing touchdown during the third quarter, and Running Back Dontai Horton rushed for the two point conversion.
The fourth quarter brought excitement because almost every possession resulted in a touchdown, which applies to both teams. On the Bulldogs' side, Douse returned another kickoff for 48 yards, resulting in a touchdown. Davis met up with Receiver Lance Wilson for the two point conversion. Davis also threw two touchdown passes to Receivers Anthony Tyus and Deyshawn Jones. Both touchdowns were accompanied by Davis-Tyus two point conversions.
The Bulldogs' final possession was an Antonio Davis pass intercepted in the end zone.
