ThunderBolts Sign UMass-Dartmouth Forward to Camp

Evansville, Ind: Evansville Thunderbolts Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Pyle has signed another forward out of UMass-Dartmouth to October's training camp. Garrett Allen will vie for a spot to skate with the team when the Thunderbolts open up the 2017-18 season on Oct. 21 at Ford Center.
Allen, a Dartmouth, Mass. native, played 26 games during his final season as a Corsair. During that year, the 5-foot-9, 160 pounder played 26 games and earned 6 goals, 2 assists and 21 PIM.
"Garrett is a small, hard-working, disciplined role player," said Pyle. "He's good at the details, smart and he's a team-oriented player. He'll be a good, strong addition to our camp."
Allen joins October's current training camp roster made up of Dylan Clarke, Tommy Fiorentino, Mark Petaccio, Chase Nieuwendyk, Brandon Lubin, Cory Melkert, Al Graves, Nick D'Avolio, Tanner Milliron, John Scorcia, Dave Williams, Frank Schumacher, Nick Kohn, Derek Gingera, Jackson Leef, Brandon Wahlin, Mike Kelly, Lee Christensen, Brendan Mitchell, Vytal Cote, Robbie Hall, Brendan Jensen, Mike Fazio, Melvin Nichols, Bo Driscoll and Ryan Patsch.
