RiverKings Add Rookie Forward Olinyk to Roster

SOUTHAVEN, Miss - The Mississippi RiverKings and Head Coach/Directory of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced the signing of rookie forward Jeremy Olinyk on Thursday.

Olinyk begins his professional career after playing collegiate hockey for the previous four seasons. The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native started his college career at Adrian College where he played 81 games over three seasons for the Bulldogs before transferring to St. Norbert for his senior year, skating in 22 games. While in college, the 6-foot, 181-pound forward averaged just shy of a point per game in his 102 total contests. Olinyk finished with 36 goals and 58 assists, good for 94 total points, most recently capping off a seven-goal, nine-assist senior season with St. Norbert. While at St. Norbert, Olinyk played alongside fellow RiverKings signee Pijus Rulevicius.
