Thunderbirds to Give JC Penney Employees Complimentary Tickets

Rio Rancho, NM - The New Mexico Thunderbirds have announced that they will be giving away complimentary tickets to their game on Friday, Feb. 4 to all employees of the JC Penney call center in Rio Rancho that is closing this summer.
"We are very happy in these tough economic times that we can offer some support to all of the employees of the JC Penney call center. Thunderbirds games are a great place for people to network and meet new people, and we wanted to offer the opportunity to our JC Penney neighbors to take advantage of the chance to mingle with other Rio Rancho residents at the game. Hopefully, we can help a few people find a soft landing." Thunderbirds co-owner Jackie Bregman said.
The Thunderbirds plan on giving out over 300 tickets to all the employees who work at the JC Penney call center. Partnered with the Santa Ana Star Center and Payday Inc., the Thunderbirds will also be inviting the JC Penney employees to submit their resumes at the Arena on game day so that the team can share these resumes with other team sponsors and partners who may be hiring. At the game, the Thunderbirds will be offering $1 hot dogs and $2 Pepsis and beer to all fans.
"We are very excited to work with the Thunderbirds and try to offer some community support to the JC Penney employees," added Payday, Inc.'s Marketing Director, Kristi Feist.
The Thunderbirds are currently in the middle of a five-game road trip, and will be returning home by the first week in February. Feb. 1st is the T-Birds' Night of Thunder, where Cleveland High School and Rio Rancho High School will square off before the Thunderbirds game. Feb. 2nd is Hoops that Heal night, where $2 of every game ticket will go towards Susan G. Komen For the Cure and the T-Birds will be honoring breast cancer survivors.
Thunderbirds' season tickets are currently on sale, with full and partial season packages available. Single game tickets are also now available online at www.nmtbirds.com or by calling 505-265-3865.
