66ers Push Past Armor on the Road 107-101 to Extend Streak

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Jan. 27, 2011- Jerome Dyson of the Tulsa 66ers (21-6) scored a game-high 21 points, Cole Aldrich added 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds and five additional 66ers scored in double figures to push Tulsa past the Springfield Armor (9-17) on the road 107-101 Thursday night, marking the 66ers 13th consecutive victory.

The win inside the MassMutual Center also marked the eighth straight road victory for Tulsa, who currently stands in first place in the Western Conference.

Also scoring in double figures for the 66ers was Tweety Carter with 20, Elijah Millsap with 16, Marcus Lewis with 12 and Latavious Williams and Robert Vaden each with 10.

The 66ers shot 42-83 (.506) from the floor to improve their record to 11-1 this season when shooting better than 50 percent from the field. Tulsa also dished out 27 assists, led by Lewis with a team-high seven.

By outrebounding the Armor by a 49-42 margin, Tulsa also improved to 14-2 this season when recording more rebounds than its opponent.

Leading Springfield in scoring was Jarvis Gunter with 20. Craig Brackins pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds and Scottie Reynolds recorded a game-high 10 assists.

The 66ers and Armor will complete the back-to-back set tomorrow evening, Jan. 28th, at 6 p.m. CT inside the MassMutual Center.
