LAST WEEK'S GAMES -

Tuesday, November 12th

Wichita at Tulsa, 6-1 W

-Nick McParland and Matt Robinson each recorded two goals as Wichita earned its first win in regulation of the season in a 6-1 drubbing of Tulsa. RG Flath, and Jared Walker also found the back of the net.

Friday, November 15th

Tulsa at Wichita, 7-4 L

-Wichita got out of the gate early, scoring three times in the first period with two from Andrew Martens. Tulsa outscored Wichita 3-1 in the second and had four third-period goals, two of which were empty-netters and held off the Thunder for a 7-4 win.

Saturday, November 16th

Tulsa at Wichita, 3-2 L (OT)

-Tulsa grabbed a 2-0 lead with goals from Brandon Coccimiglio and Michel Beausoleil in the opening frame. Jon Booras and Jesse Dudas pulled the Thunder even in the second and forced overtime. Former Thunder defenseman Jarred Mohr got the game-winner 45 seconds into the extra session.

500 - Andrew Martens is nearing 500 games for his career as he sits at 495. The Calgary, AB native needs four more assists to register 100 in a Thunder uniform. Martens is in his ninth pro season, fourth in Wichita, has 130 career points in Thunder Blue and moved into fifth place all-time on Friday. He is also approaching 300 points for his career as he sits at 281 (61g, 220a). Martens is third all-time in goals scored by a Thunder defenseman with 34 after scoring twice Friday night. Jon Booras has played 477 games as pro and is nearing that same mark.

100 - With eight more goals, Matt Robinson will become just the fifth player in team history to record 100 goals in a Thunder uniform and only needs three more to move into fifth place past Mark Karpen.

LIGHT THE WAY - One area that has been a strength for Wichita is the team's power play. The Thunder is first overall on the road, scoring nine times on 34 chances (26.5%) and has vastly improved at home, now sitting fifth overall with six power play goals at IBA on 38 chances (15.8%). Overall, the Thunder is ranked third, scoring 15 times on 72 chances (20.8%).

REGAINING HOME-ICE - Historically, Wichita has been one of the best teams in the league at home. INTRUST Bank Arena has not been kind to the Thunder yet this season, still looking for its first win (0-5-1). Over the last two seasons, Wichita has won 49 games on home-ice.

CLOSE CALL - Wichita has played in eight one-goal contests and is 1-3-4 in those games. Last year, the Thunder was 12-5-8 in games decided by just a goal.

225 - Travis Wight is approaching Jason Duda's franchise record for most consecutive games played at 225 (March 3rd, 2000-November 18th, 2003). Wight, who claimed the CHL Man of the Year last season, is currently at 212.

THUNDERBOLTS... Jon Booras is tied for 12th in points (13 pts) and is tied for third in assists (12)...Mike Wilson and Andrew Martens are tied for fourth in scoring by defensemen (3g, 5a) while Jesse Dudas is tied in seventh place (1g, 6a)...Nick McParland is tied in fourth in rookie scoring (8)...Wichita has scored 17 second-period goals while also giving 17 in the second...Wichita is averaging 15.86 PIM per game, which is the lowest in the league...Leading after one, Wichita is 1-2-0...Leading after two, Wichita is 1-2-1...Tied after two, Wichita is 0-2-2...Wichita is 0-3-2 when out-shooting the opponent...

Wichita remains at home until after Thanksgiving and will host the Rapid City Rush for a pair of games beginning on Friday night at INTRUST Bank Arena. Friday is Wichita Youth Hockey Association Night. Come cheer on the youngsters as they take the ice and play during an intermission. Saturday night is SpongeBob SquarePants night as the resident from Bikini Bottom makes his third consecutive trip to the Air Capital for a Thunder game.
