Thunder Training Camp Opens Friday, September 28

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, has announced the team's training camp for the 2012-13 season will officially start on Friday, Sept. 28 at Stockton Arena.
The Thunder is scheduled to use Stockton Arena as its flagship practice site, with all sessions open to the media. All off-ice training sessions will be conducted at CrossFit CenCal in Stockton at 9937 Lower Sacramento Road.
"Fan Fest" will cap the final week of training camp, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Stockton Arena. Admission to Fan Fest is free to the public and additional information will be announced soon.

Opening Night is Friday, Oct. 12 when the Thunder launches the 2012-13 season and the ECHL's 25th Anniversary campaign at home against the Ontario Reign starting at 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena.
A two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," the Thunder led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the seventh consecutive season in 2011-12.
