
IceMen Announce Training Camp Schedule

EVANSVILLE, IN.--- The Evansville IceMen, proud affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons and Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League have announced their first training camp schedule as members of the Premiere AA ECHL in the League's 25th Anniversary Season.
The IceMen third-year General Manager / Head Coach Rich Kromm will meet and greet his player roster candidates for the club's initial workout of the 2012-13 ECHL pro hockey season on MONDAY, OCTOBER 1ST AT 10:00 AM at the IceMen home of THE FORD CENTER, downtown Evansville.
Twice-a-day sessions are slated for the Ford Center Monday, October 1st, Tuesday, October 2nd, Wednesday, October 3rd and Friday, October 5th at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm with the afternoon session featuring a full-scale scrimmage.
Through the opening week of IceMen training camp sessions, there will be a single workout on Thursday, October 4th at 10:00 am at Swonder Ice Arena. This latter session will be open free to the public.
The opening week of Evansville's training camp schedule will be capped by a pair of pre-season dress rehearsals on the road
at Fort Wayne where the IceMen will rekindle early season rancor with their principal archrivals, the Komets. The IceMen
will be guested by the Fort Wayners, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6TH at 6:30 pm and SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7TH at 4:00 pm
with both games broadcast live on flagship radio home WEOA-AM 1400 and the IceMen Radio Network; WLME-FM 102.7
ESPN Radio, "The Game," Owensboro, KY; WMSK-AM 1550, Fox Sports Radio, "The Sports Edge," Morganfield, KY;
WITZ-AM 990 / WITZ-FM 104.7, Jasper, IN and WVLN-AM 740, Fox Sports Radio, Olney, IL.
The home opening night for the IceMen is set for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13TH at 7:15 PM at THE FORD CENTER,
again, battling Fort Wayne.
