
Thunder Set Training Camp Schedule

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks, has announced the team's training camp for the 2011-12 season will officially start on Thursday, Sept. 29 at Stockton Arena.
The Thunder is scheduled to use Stockton Arena as its flagship practice site, with all sessions open to the media. "Fan Fest" will highlight the final week of training camp, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Stockton Arena on Sunday, Oct. 9. Admission for the event is free to the general public and additional information will be announced soon.
Oak Park Ice Arena in Stockton, located at 3545 Alvarado Avenue, is scheduled to host select Thunder practices. All practice sessions at Oak Park Ice Arena will be open to the general public.
The training camp roster lineup will vary for all practice sessions. Those media members seeking specific players should check with the Thunder media relations department in advance for the best time to gain access to individuals as it will likely change daily. Media availability for Thunder head coach Matt Thomas will be held immediately following the conclusion of each day's session.

All media wishing to cover practice sessions must contact the Thunder media relations department at (209) 373-1500. Practices typically last 90 minutes at the start of camp and decrease to a length of one hour by the end of camp. As per club media policy, the training room and restrooms inside the team dressing room are strictly off-limits at all times. Players receiving medical treatment in training room during the access period will be available to the media following treatment.

OPENING NIGHT AND TICKET INFORMATION
Opening Night is Friday, Oct. 14, when the Thunder opens the 2011-12 regular season at home against the Colorado Eagles, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena. The game will be a historic ECHL event to welcome in the Eagles, who will play in their inaugural game after spending the previous eight seasons in the Central Hockey League.
