Thunder Road Trip Continues in Fargo

Fargo, ND - Bloomington is on a four-game win streak after a 4-3 win over Fargo on Friday night and takes on the Force for the second time in as many days. Puck drop is 7:05 pm CST from the Scheels Arena as the Thunder continue their six-game road trip to game number four. Bloomington ranks sixth in the USHL behind the Madison Capitols with a 16-16-6 record. Fargo is 16-16-5 and also sixth, but in the Western Conference.

In the midst of a six-game road trip, the Thunder have grabbed wins in all three of their road contests. Through the first 40 minutes of play on Friday night, the Thunder put together a shot total of 26-9 and took a 4-1 lead over the Fargo Force. Van Barr (Western Michigan University) tallied two goals for the Thunder including the game winner. Jack Jenkins (University of Notre Dame) leads the Thunder in points with 24 (10g, 14a) after tallying eight points in four games. Goaltenders Hayden Lavigne (University of Michigan) and Logan Halladay (University of Minnesota) have combined for a 92.8 SVPT in the last five games with 128 saves.

Fargo is led by Mikey Eyssimont (St. Cloud State University) with 32 points (16g, 16a). Zach Yon (University of North Dakota), Shane McMahan, Sean Mostrom (University of Denver) tallied goal in the game Friday night but could not get the Force over the edge to victory, being edged out in shots 30-18. The Force are 10-5-2 at home and have considerably better numbers all around at the Scheels Arena. Fargo will be home for five of their next six games with their only road game coming against the Sioux Falls Stampede.
