MOLINE, Ill. - Patrick Levesque scored two goals to lead the Quad City Mallards to a 3-2 victory over the Bloomington PrairieThunder before 6,737 people Saturday in International Hockey League action at the i wireless Center.

The loss dropped the PrairieThunder record to 28-27-3-5 (64 points). Bloomington remains in fourth place for the final postseason playoff berth by five points over Quad City and Flint

Quad City scored three goals in the second period after falling behind 1-0 early in the period on a goal by Bloomington's Bill Bagron off assists by Jamie Carroll and Cole Ruwe just 70 seconds into the period.

Levesque started the Mallards' scoring two minutes later before Katryl Katrych scored the go-ahead goal four minutes later. Levesque added his second goal, which proved to be the game-winner, with 7:04 left in the second period.

Brett Holmberg scored with 2:45 remaining to pull Bloomington within, 3-2, but it could never get closer. Sebastian Dahm suffered the loss in net, stopping 29 of 32 shots. The PrairieThunder owned a 37-32 advantage in shots.

Bloomington returns to action at home Wednesday with a 7:05 p.m. game against Dayton.
