Wichita Wingnuts News Release

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation© of Kansas to raise funds through Pack-the-House Night this Saturday when the Missouri Mavericks visit the INTRUST Bank Arena.

Wichita's loveable mascot Thunderdog is reportedly hiding out on the roof of the Thunder's office at the Wichita Ice Center to help raise money for the event.

Earlier this afternoon, the 18-year old mascot was caught stealing a zamboni from the INTRUST Bank Arena where he was chased down St. Francis St. by the Wichita Police Department. The usually mild-mannered canine escaped capture on an Alefs Harley Davidson motorcycle before securing himself atop the Ice Center located at 505 W. Maple St.

The Thunder will wear specialty jerseys for Saturday's contest, which will be auctioned off after the game. Proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation© of Kansas.

Fans interested in helping Thunderdog and the Make-A-Wish Foundation© of Kansas can purchase tickets for Pack-the-House Night 2011 by calling the Thunder office at (316) 264-GOAL and mentioning the Make-A-Wish Foundation© of Kansas and Thunderdog. The Thunder will also hold extended hours from Tuesday through Friday from 8:00-6:00. The office will also be opened Saturday afternoon from 1:00-4:00.
