Trenton Thunder News Release

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, and The Trentonian are pleased to announce the Trenton Thunder/ Trentonian High School Baseball Series for 2007. A total of eight high school games are scheduled at Waterfront Park starting on April 18th.

The Thunder and The Trentonian are entering their seventh year of this partnership, but high school baseball has been played at Waterfront Park since 1995. The games give high school student athletes the opportunity to play on a professional baseball field in front of friends and family.

"Giving High School athletes the chance to play on the same field where players like Robinson Cano, Chien-ming Wang, Nomar Garciaparra and David Eckstein developed their skills on the way to the Majors is something we look forward to each year," said Thunder General Manager Brad Taylor. "I'm glad that the Thunder and The Trentonian can continue to give these athletes the thrill of playing on a professional field."
