CLEARWATER, Fla. - Scott Kingery returned to the leadoff spot on Thursday and reached base in four-of-five plate appearances, pacing the Clearwater Threshers in a 5-2 win over the Dunedin Blue Jays at Bright House Field.

Andrew Pullin collected his first two hits of the season in his second game back with the Threshers, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and run scored out of the cleanup spot. The Threshers (22-11) earned the series win, three-games-to-one over the Blue Jays (14-19).

Mario Hollands made his second rehab appearance for the Threshers and was spotless, tossing two perfect frames out of the Clearwater pen. Hollands struck out four of the six men he faced, as the lefty works his way back from Tommy John Surgery.

After Kingery drew a leadoff walk and Pullin reached on a two-out single in the first, Mitch Walding gave the Threshers the lead by shooting a single through the left side to plate Kingery.

An inning later, Gabriel Lino greeted Francisco Rios (0-1) by driving a double to right-center. With one out it was Kingery who pulled a two-base hit inside the third base line to score Lino and make it 2-0. The double was Kingery's tenth, putting him in a tie for most in the Florida State League.

Pullin led off the third inning with a double to right, and Kyle Martin made it 3-0 Threshers when he served a single into right field to bring Pullin across.

Matt Imhof (4-1) earned the win in the start, holding Dunedin to only three hits - all singles - across his five innings. Imhof walked four, but allowed only two runs (one earned) and struck out four.

Dunedin climbed to within one in the fourth inning, when Dickie Joe Thon got the Blue Jays on the board with a sac fly and an error on Imhof allowed a second run to cross.

The Threshers grabbed some breathing room in the sixth.

With two men on and one out, Cord Sandberg ripped a triple to the right field corner to score Lino and Kingery and boost the Threshers ahead by a 5-2 score.

Alexis Rivero locked it down in the ninth, working around a one-out double to secure his third save in as many tries.

The Threshers will head over to Tampa on Friday as they open up a four-game series with the Yankees, starting at 7 p.m. Ranfi Casimiro (4-1) toes the rubber against Chance Adams (2-0), and the game can be heard live on the Threshers Broadcast Network starting at 6:45 p.m.
